A loan of $600 helped to buy "petates" [handwoven bedrolls] and other items.

Fidencio Elpidio's story

Fidencio lives with his wife and two children aged 2 and 5 years who all depend on him. He earns a living making crafts and "jarcia" [rope made from agave fibre], skills which he learnt from his parents. He works every day from 6 o'clock in the morning.

The loan he is asking for will enable him to buy "petates" [handwoven bedrolls] and other items to then sell. The funds will allow him to meet the demands of his customers, given that the current conditions are favourable. His dream is to always be able to provide his children with an education.
