A loan of $1,425 helped to install a bathroom in her home.

Amelia's story

Amelia is a 48-year-old woman who lives with her parents in the city of Piura in the district of Jayanca. She is a very kind, hardworking, and enthusiastic person who puts all her efforts toward getting her family ahead. Unfortunately, a lack of money and the need to work from a very young age prevented Amelia from pursuing the business administration degree she wanted.

On her own initiative and with a great deal of hard work and dedication, Amelia works selling the produce she grows on her small plot of land. She sells them in the small markets in her city. She works every day starting early in the morning and she can go for around eight hours.

Amelia is very thankful to Kiva's lenders, as it is thanks to their help that she will be able to install a bathroom in her home because she and her family currently do not have a suitable bathroom. This will provide Amelia and her family with security and wellbeing. She will keep working and putting her effort into achieving her greatest dream of expanding her crops.
