A loan of $725 helped to buy clothing.

Noelali's story

Noelali is 49 years old and is the single mother of two children who live with her in a rented home. Noelali sells second hand clothing. In order to acquire her merchandise, she sends a certain amount of money to another city and they send her all types of clothing for men, women, and children, including polo shirts, pants, blouses, skirts, and shirts. She constantly takes her merchandise around to the nearby towns, with trips that can last more than five hours by river. She has been doing this for more than 20 years and she does it alone. She likes her business because it generates the income that allows her to pay her family expenses and she keeps busy. She has plans to grow her business and she also wants to have other activities, such as selling drinks or breakfast. She is asking for a loan of S/ 2,000 and she is grateful for the opportunity to solidify her plans. She will use the money to buy second hand clothing, mainly dresses, pants, blouses, and polo shirts, so she can continue working.
