A loan of $750 helped to buy agricultural inputs for her corn and bean crops.

Angela Maria's story

Angela is 27 years old, and she is a farmer and housekeeper. She is the mother of five children, who all live with her and her partner, with whom she is in a civil partnership. She completed her primary education thanks for the effort and financial support of her parents, for which she is very thankful.

Together with her partner, she works growing corn and beans. She has many years of experience doing this work, since it has been the source of income for her and her family. Her customers are middlemen, grocery stores, neighbourhood shops, and relatives and friends who live in the area, or who travel to the area to buy her products.

She is asking for this loan from COMIXMUL to buy fertilizer (12 quintals of 18-46-0 [diammonium phosphate] fertilizer) and nine quintals of urea, to protect and fertilize her corn and bean crops. In this way, she will be able to care for her crops better.

Her plans for the future are to be able to grow coffee, since her land and the local climate are suited to growing this crop. Her dream is to be able to provide her children with a good education so that they have a lot of options and opportunities in life.
