A loan of $1,425 helped to buy farming supplies.

Reyna Esperanza's story

Reyna is a 29 year old young woman in a common law marriage. She has one son, who lives with and depends on them. She has an elementary school education and was able to complete it thanks to her parents’ support. It was they who taught her to raise corn, beans, and coffee. She currently raises coffee with her partner who is her only source of support, on a piece of farmland she owns, located where she lives, thanks to her savings and God’s help, and she is able to maintain her crops easily.

She is asking for a loan through the COMIXMUL cooperative so she can buy coffee compost, fertilizer, plants, and other things to help with her coffee production, so she can have a good harvest and be more attractive to her customers.

Her plans are to improve and fertilize the soil on which they farm so that her coffee crops keep their foliage and produce a healthy fruit. This way they will be able to count on a sure harvest. Her dream, like that of every mother, is to support his son with his studies so that he will graduate from university and not have to deal with the same situation she had to deal with as a child.
