Vikindu Group's story

Rajabu, who is in his early 50s, is married and has five children who are in school. Since 2011, Rajabu has been running a carpentry business. He also has another business selling cold soft drinks. He works from 8am to 9pm daily and is able to make a fair profit per month. This is his fourth loan request withTujijenge Tanzania, which he will use to buy more carpentry wood and soft drinks. With the previous loans, all of which he paid back successfully, Rajabu made some business improvements like making cleanness in his carpentry premise, bought soft drinks and wood. He also used it to buy a business fridge. With the profit received, Rajabu managed to pay school fees and home expenses.

Rajabu dreams that one day will be able to own a carpentry company. He will share this loan will his loan group " VIKINDU" which totals 7 members . The members of the group will hold each other accountable for paying back the loan.
