A loan of $300 helped to perform maintenance on her corn mill and to buy corn in order to make and sell tortillas.

Reina Isabel's story

Reina is 42 years old and she lives with her husband and their three children in a neighborhood in San Pedro Sula. Previously she worked buying and selling pigs. For the past 2 years and 3 months she has been grinding corn for use in making tortillas. She also makes and sells tortillas. She is seeking her second loan, this one for 6,000 Lempiras, so that she can perform maintenance on her mill and so that she can buy corn for making and selling tortillas. Her goal is to increase her income by opening other sales locations and by installing other corn mills in different parts of the community.
