A loan of $500 helped to buy agricultural supplies.

Lupita's story

Lupita, 21, is a young housewife and mother of one minor son living under the same roof; she works in agriculture. She and her housemate have worked in agriculture especially growing coffee for more than five years since she learned this activity from her parents who have been farmers their entire lives; this line of work is the family’s only source of household income. Her customers for this product are coffee buyers that come to the zone to buy it as middlemen or direct buyers.

Today she’s asking for a loan to buy agricultural supplies and to weed the coffee crops so that at the end of harvest with satisfactory results she can earn the expected income. Her future plan is to extend the coffee crops more and to plant a better, more market competitive variety so that she can earn higher income for her family strengthening her son’s estate this way.
