A loan of $550 helped to buy stock merchandise for her store.

Lucila's story

Lucila, 67, is single living with her daughter in Puerto Cortes. She’s always worked in commerce. Ten years ago she opened a grocery store where she sells soft-drinks, packaged snacks, basic grains, candy, bread, school supplies, low-cost novelty items, groceries, etc. She’s invested two previous loans into the business.

She’s currently asking for this third cycle for 11,000 Lempiras that she’ll use to buy more goods for the grocery store aiming at increasing her profits. She will buy soft-drinks, packaged snacks, basic grains and groceries. Her plan is to expand the business more and to always keep it well-stocked because this is her source of income.
