Muhereza is 52 years old and lives in the town of Kijura in the Hoima region of Uganda. She is married and has six children, with two of them currently in school. For the past five years, Muhereza has been working hard to manage her video library, which sells video movies and music CDs.

To help expand her business, Muhereza has requested a loan of 3,000,000 Ugandan Shillings from BRAC Uganda. The loan will be used to buy more music videos and movies to sell, and will help Muhereza to generate greater profits and pay school fees for her children and pay for other family needs. Muhereza hopes that in the future, she will be able to become a very powerful business woman in town.

Muhereza is a member of BRAC's Small Enterprise Program (SEP). The program primarily serves small entrepreneurs like Muhereza who do not have enough collateral for commercial loans, but have businesses that have grown too large for microloans.
