A loan of $1,425 helped to purchase agricultural supplies for her coffee plants.

Clara's story

Clara, 52, has a very large family made up of 5 children, 3 of whom live at home and help her with different activities on the farm. With her also lives a grandson who is studying in elementary school. Accompanied by her husband, they work in agriculture. She has a small store independent of the coffee. Her customers are neighbors from the community. Through this business, she is able to contribute even more to the income of her home.

Clara has an uncompleted primary school education up to third grade. She has inherited the land where her family works thanks to her parents, who are located 25 minutes from her house. She walks by foot daily accompanied by her children and her husband to maintain the coffee plants. She is applying for a loan for the purchase of agricultural supplies necessary for her coffee farm.

With these supplies, they hope to improve and ultimately obtain an excellent harvest obtaining positive and planned results. She plans to grow more coffee plants and sow a wider variety of plants. In this way she will be able to strengthen the inheritance for her children and grandchildren, leaving them their own, dignified and fertile land where they can work and generate income for their families.
