Dennis M.k.'s Group's story

Pictured here are teachers of a secondary school in Bo, a city in southern Sierra Leone. This group of teachers have come to SMT, a partner of Kiva, to apply for a total loan of SLL 17,900,000. With the help of this loan, they will be able to meet their most immediate and most pressing financial needs. And at the end of each month, they can easily repay the loan using their monthly salaries. It is their school's bursar who is directly responsible for doing the deductions and making the repayments on their behalf.

Dennis is the featured leader of this group of teachers. A native of Massam, in southern Sierra Leone, 55-year-old Dennis is married to a housewife and the couple has four children who are attending primary and tertiary academic institutions.
