A loan of $2,300 helped to purchase 15 sheep in order to sell more meat in the summer.

Gulevse's story

Gulevse is 47 years old and not married . She is an IDP (internally displaced person ). Gulevse raises sheep and sells them for meat. She has been doing this business for 15 years and is a very hard-working person. She puts a lot of effort into this activity because she wants to support her old parents, without lacking financially herself.

Gulevse is keeping a flock of sheep in her own yard. She fattens them and takes their meat to the central bazaar, where butchers and customers purchase this. People use mutton for traditional dishes like kababs, dolmas, and pilovs.

She has taken loans and has a good loan history. This is going to be her third loan. This time, she requires AZN 1,800 to purchase 15 sheep in order to sell more meat in the summer. She is optimistic about this loan because, in the summer, more people consume meat, due to the holidays and increased customers in restaurants.
