Daisy is married and has two children. She lives in Bandera, Polanco, Zamboanga Del Norte with her family. Her husband works as a security guard in a private company while she runs a general store in their community to earn an extra income. Aside from this, they work together operating their own rice farm, their main source of income. Her husband takes care of the farm during weekends and days off with Daisy. Recently, she joined Gata Daku MPC and she gains access to micro-finance services. She borrowed a loan of 10,000.00 PHP to buy fertilizer and weeding maintenance costs. She is hopeful to generate an abundant harvest with the help of this current loan. She also planned to save a portion of her revenue for the education of her children in the near future
Gata Daku Multi-Purpose Cooperative (GDMPC) was founded in 1992 by 32 farmer-members to empower people by providing livelihood opportunities and other support services. Today, it has over 15,000 members located in upland, lowland and coastal regions of the Philippines, and offers credit, savings, education, and various social services.
