Ran is 57 years old. She is widowed and resides with her two children in Kampong Speu Province, Cambodia. She has been selling cake for more than ten years, earning approximately $3 per day. Her children are employed. One is a construction worker, and the other is a garment worker. They earn about $11 each day. Due to a lack of funds, Ran is requesting a loan of $500 to purchase a piece of land behind her house. This money will help her to expand her land and to get a bigger space to rebuild her house. In the future, she would like to expand her business and to fill dirt into the backyard of her house.
