Mun is 65 years old. She is widowed and resides with two children in Kampong Speu Province, Cambodia. She has been involved in cultivating rice and fattening up animals for more than ten years, earning approximately $2 daily. Her daughter is a garment worker who makes about $4 per day. In order to improve her family’s finances, Mun is requesting a loan of $1500 to purchase a sewing machine and cloth to run a tailoring shop at home. This money will help her acquire the ability to run a new business and enable her to generate more income to financially support the family. In the future, she would like to expand her shop and rebuild her house to make it more comfortable for the family.
