A loan of $900 helped to buy different types of fish wholesale.

Cindy's story

Cindy, age 23, is a hard-working young woman. She is married, and she has a five year old daughter with whom she lives in her mother and father-in-law’s house. Cindy sells different types of fish. She has a sales stand at one of the busiest markets. Fortunately, she has good sales and considerable income. This is due to the daily customer flow that she has.

She affirms that this work calls for a lot of sacrifice because in order to get the best fish she has to get up early and go to the city port at 4:00 a.m. Nevertheless, she knows that all of her effort is worth it. She is compensated when she sees that her little daughter has everything she needs to be comfortable.

She has been in this business for close to two years. She works at her husband’s side. She likes the freedom that this business provides. She is able to have fun in the afternoons playing and practicing some sports, and she can be at her family’s side.

She will now request a loan for 2,500 soles. She is happy for the financial support that she is provided with in order to be able to get ahead in her work. Also, she pledges to make her payments punctually. She will use the loan to buy the best types and sizes of fish.
