A loan of $375 helped to purchase cookies, soft drinks, and canned fish.

Elizabeth's story

Elizabeth is 28 years old, married, and lives together with her husband in their home built from adobe.

Elizabeth works selling groceries. She has a store in her home, which she has succeeded in establishing and converting it into support for her family. Thanks to her store she has become a well-known person in her neighborhood, which has gained her more customers. She stocks her store with basic necessity products such as rice, sugar, cereal, and others. In addition, she sells gas cylinders. She plans to build her home from wood in order to expand her business to be a more recognized place.

This is her first loan with Kiva and she is grateful for the financial support she is receiving to move forward. She promises to make her payments punctually. She is requesting 1,000 nuevos soles to purchase products and continue stocking her store with cookies, soft drinks, and canned fish, which are of high demand at her store.
