Salima is a married woman with two children, one who is underage and the other goes to school. She lives in her own house that has electricity and piped water.
Salima operates a clothes selling business and she cites seasonality as her greatest challenge.
With the loan of KES.20,000 she wants to purchase bales of clothes and to renovate her house. She joined Yehu to get financial support.
About Yehu Microfinance Trust
This loan is administered by Yehu Microfinance Trust, which was founded in 1998 as a project of CHOICE Humanitarian Kenya. In July 2007, Yehu became a separate entity from CHOICE and was registered as a trust. Since then, Yehu has expanded to cover over half of Kenya’s 13 coastal districts.
