Fakhra is a housewife and a group leader of this two-person lending group. She lives in Lahore, Pakistan with her family. She belongs to a poor family. She has requested a loan from Kiva's partner BRAC Pakistan for her husband's general store. Currently the stock of the general store is almost depleted. Therefore, he wants to purchase a variety of products for his store including flour, pulses, soap, detergents, etc., so that he can continue his work. He wants to add more variety to his store to attract more customers. Fakhra will save the profits to meet the household's daily expenses. She hopes that this loan will prove beneficial for her family. She lives in a poor community where they must face a lot of issues and challenges. One of the main issues is the lack of clean water. She wishes to live in a clean and hygenic community. She is feeling very happy and relaxed after receiving the loan amount.
