Kalerwe Tulla- Habib Group's story

Habib is a 37-years-old resident of Kalwere. He is married with three children. However, he also takes care of two widows and their children by providing them with basic needs, since they lost their husbands who were responsible for taking care of them.

Habib drives a taxi to earn a living. He started this job in 2003 after failing to find formal employment, yet still needing to meet the growing needs of his family. Habib mostly deals in town transportation service.

His dream is to have another taxi so that he can earn higher wages. This would help him provide the best for his family and many dependents.

His major challenge is lack of enough money to purchase a taxi, therefore he needs a loan to help him purchase a taxi. Habib is very hardworking and honest according to his colleagues. He will use the loan to purchase a taxi for himself.

Habib confided that if he had enough funds, he would quit being a taxi driver and settle down as a businessman. However, he thanks UGAFODE for giving them loans at reduced rates.
