Ashot's story

Ashot lives in the village of Azatamut in the Tavush region. He is married and he has a son and a daughter. His wife used to work at the notary office, but now she is on maternity leave and takes care of their children. Ashot works at the woodworking workshop as a sawyer and at the same time he perfectly manages farming. He is raising a cow, two heifers and three piglets. He manages to sell milk, macun (Armenian national dairy product) and meat right from his house. The income is not very big, but Ashot thinks that if he manages to enlarge his farm cattle the profit will be much more. That is why he is asking for a loan of 600,000 Armenian drams to buy two calves and a lot of animal fodder for the winter months.
