A loan of $2,300 helped to purchase two cattle, two milk cows and fodder.

Teyfa's story

Teyfa is a 36-year-old woman. She is an internally displace person (IDP) who lives in the Bilasuvar IDP settlement with her kids. Teyfa has raised cattle and cows for 10 years. She loves her business. Teyfa usually buys small calves, raises and fattens them for five to six months, and then resells them for a more profitable price in the livestock bazaar. Her monthly income is 100 AZN and this business is only one source of financial income in her family. Meat is in very high demand in Azerbaijan and people use it in everyday dishes like pilau and dolma. Teyfa also keeps milk cows for personal use and for selling to neighbors.

She wants to expand her business and improve the life conditions of her family. She applied for a 1800 AZN loan to purchase two cattle, two milk cows and fodder. This will be her 4th loan and Teyfa has a good client history.
