A loan of $750 helped purchase firewood, bags of corn, lotions and cosmetics.

Teresa De Jesus's story

Teresa is an older woman who lives with a daughter and daughter-in-law. She sells tortillas, firewood and beauty products. She works from 8am to 3pm, depending on the demand. She began this business out of necessity, but to this day she has run it for 15 years.

She is requesting this loan in order to purchase firewood, bags of corn, lotions and cosmetics, which will allow her to expand her business and increase her revenues in order to pay her debts and afford some of her household expenses. Teresa dreams of seeing her business grow and owning her own home.
