Abahirwe Group's story

Charlotte is part of the group Abahirwe and lives in Bujumbura. She is married to Aloys, a civil servant. Together they have three children, from 13 to 27 years old, all students.

Charlotte has been doing commerce in potatoes, bananas, … for eight years.

She is on her 16th Turame loan. With the KIVA loan she is obtaining, she is going to increase her capital and purchase many kilograms of potatoes, bananas,… to resell, so as to earn more.

In the coming years, she would like to do business importing merchandise from Kampala and to have her own housing.
