Teddy's story

Teddy is 27 years old and has one child, who is not yet in school.

Teddy is a businesswoman and runs a shop in town which deals in second hand clothing. She has been in this business for abou five years, and through this business she says she has achieved a lot, such as being able to feed her family, plus getting most of the basic necessities in her home.

She says that the biggest problem affecting her business is high operation costs such as rent, licences and transport costs to Kampala, where she does her shopping, and the returns are low.

Teddy says that she has acquired this loan in order to acquire more second hand clothes for selling in her shop. She also believes that with this loan facillty, her business will considerably expand in the future and she hopes to open numerous branches across the region. The location for Teddie’s business is in town and a lot has been achieved.

Finally, she thanks the lenders for providing loans to lower income earners at reduced interest rates.
