A loan of $1,450 helped to buy bulls and sheep.

Burulkan's story

Burulkan is 43 years old, married and has three children (two daughters and one son). She has a college degree and works as an accountant in telecommunications. By character, Burulkan is calm, balanced, and hard-working. Her spouse and children help her with her business. As a source of extra income for the family, for many years Burulkan has worked with livestock. She started the business with 15,000 KGS. Thanks to her hard work and care, today she has one dairy cow and 15 sheep. She also has a plot of land where she grows clover, beans and corn. This business brings in around 9,000 KGS a month from the sale of milk and dairy products, as well as vegetables which cover most of the family's food costs. This income allowed Burulkan to give her children a good education. With the goal of further developing her business, Burulkan turned to the microfinance bank Bai Tushum and Partners for a loan of 70,000 KGS to buy bulls and sheep. She plans to use the income from the loan to further invest in her farm and also, in the future, to marry her son.
