Alymkan's story

Alymkan is 60 years old, married, and the mother of many children. She has five children (two sons and three daughters). The children are grown and live separately. Only the youngest lives with the parents and helps around the farm. Her husband helps around the farm.

Since 1990, Alymkan has been involved in raising animals, starting with 6,000 сом KGS. Alymkan is hardworking and responsible, and because of her hard work, her monthly income consists of 10,000 som KGS. Thanks to her effort, she achieved good results and on her farm today has: three dairy cows, three calves, 20 sheep, and ten goats.

In order to expand the count of livestock, Alymkan turned to the microfinance bank Bai-Tushum and Partners for a loan of 100,000 som (KGS) to buy sheep and cows to further increase the count of livestock.

With income from the loan, Alymkan plans in the future to make a purchase of a new home for her daughter.
