A loan of $1,450 helped to buy chemical fertilizers, organic fertilizers, and agrochemicals.

Adalid's story

Don Adalid is 32 years old. His family consists of seven members, his five children and his parents. They have limited financial resources and live in the community of Mizque. Adalid works by farming and raising livestock. He produces onions, potatoes, peas, and beans and then sells them to the merchants who live in the same town. Don Adalid is a well-respected person in his community because of his dedication to his work and for being responsible in feeding and educating his children. He has worked in agriculture from a very young age because he needed income. Adalid worked on his father’s land and saved some of his income with great sacrifice for his family’s expenses. During the previous planting season, a small frost impacted his crops around the time that his crop of peas were ready to be harvested. The frost ruined his entire production.

Don Adalid is requesting his current loan so that he can buy more chemical fertilizers, organic fertilizers, and agrochemicals so that he can produce more and improve his quality of life and the living conditions for his entire family.
