Joetta's story

Joetta lives in Airport in Margibi County, which has the largest rubber plantation in Liberia. She is 27 years old; she and her fiancee are living together along with two children ages 6 and 8, who are in school and live at home. Her fiancée buys rubber and sells it to Firestone.

For the past ten years she has been selling used clothes in the market. She started this business by selling used clothes for her mother, and learned this way of selling from her mother. She completed 5th grade.

She is requesting a loan to buy more used clothes for her business. She likes selling to her customers, and her business makes her responsible.

Her plans are to expand her business and see her children out of high school.
