A loan of $525 helped to buy more boxes of cameras, camera battery cells, and envelopes.

Harriet's story

Harriet, a single mother of four children, one of whom goes to school, resides in her own house, and the family has access to electricity but not to piped water. Her monthly expenses includes rent for her business premises and school fees.

Harriet has an enterprise selling cameras, camera battery cells, sole tape, and envelopes for photographs. In business for eight years, she has a shop where she sells on both a retail and wholesale basis, working seven days a week. Her major business challenges include seasonality and thieves who frequently break into her business.

Harriet has applied for a loan of 1300000 Uganda shillings from MCDT-SACCO to buy more boxes of cameras, envelopes and camera battery cells. She aspires to build her own rental shops and to sell wholesale only.
