A loan of $575 helped a member to buy potash, insecticide, and to pay for labor costs.

Kim's Group's story

Kim is 32 years old and a villager from the Moung Russey district of Battambang province, where she runs her business. She has a 0.5 hectares area for growing crops, works for others for a fee, and raises pigs as the main sources of her income to address her family's hardship. These businesses have returned to her about KHR 18,900 per day.

Kim is a fifth-time borrower and her co-borrower is a second-time borrower with VisionFund Cambodia (Kiva’s partner). After the successful past loans that Kim has fully repaid, she has improved her lifestyle better than before.

Now, she is a group leader and is seeking a new loan to buy potash, insecticide, and to pay for labor costs. Kim hopes that she can increase her income and gain back a good yield.
