Umoja Group's story

Elizabeth has sold food in Arusha since 1993. She is 42 years old and single with three children, ages 7, 9, and 14. She works daily from 8:00am to 10:00pm selling food and earns a monthly profit of approximately $60. Elizabeth hopes to take out a loan in order to buy more food supplies for her to sell.


Elizabeth will share this loan with her group member, Bibiana, who also owns a shop in Arusha.
