A loan of $550 helped to purchase a cow.

Luis's story

Luis, 21 years old, is a responsible and hard-working man. He lives in the company of his grandmother and aunt in the home that they inherited 10 years ago. Luis makes a living in stockbreeding. Every morning he takes care of the animals that he will soon sell in the livestock market that occurs every weekend.

He has many years of experience. He mentions that as a child, his father taught him the business. Now, he works independently, that is, his work consists of the purchase of animals such as cows, sheep, guinea pigs, and roosters, which he takes care of during the week to sell on Sundays at the market. He likes the business a lot since it allows him to perfect animal breeding. Now, he wishes to continue in this work to perfect his ability and be one of the best.

This is his second loan from Kiva, and he feels thankful for the financial support that he is receiving to continue ahead. Furthermore, he promises to make his payments punctually. Luis will invest the 1500 Nuevos Soles in the purchase of a milk cow to increase his livestock.
