A loan of $325 helped to purchase more of the foods that she sells at her table, including chickens' feet and pigs' feet.

Victoria's story

Please meet Victoria, aged 48, from St. Paul in Liberia. St. Paul is home to the oldest market in Liberia and is known for its fish, due to its location by the sea. St. Paul is a suburb located just outside Monrovia, past Freeport. It is one of the poorer areas, and you will often find its residents living in sub-standard housing. Victoria completed 9th grade, and she is married. She has seven children between the ages of 9 and 33 years. Only five of her children are in school, and they all live at home.

Victoria has owned a table business for the past four years, selling foods including chickens' feet and pigs' feet. She will use the loan proceeds to purchase more of these foods to sell.

On average, she works 9 hours per day at her business. She started her business with money she got from her husband. She transports her goods by taxi. She cites as her biggest business challenge, "too few goods." Her favorite part of her business is the profit. In the future, she would like to build a shop. She thanks you, in advance, for your support!
