A loan of $2,750 helped to purchase cement, bricks, planks and metal to finish his house.

Khurelbaatar's story

Mr. Khurelbaatar, 33 years old, lives with his wife and three children in Ulaanbaatar, the capital city of Mongolia. The family resides in a Mongolian traditional ger (portable felt dwelling) on plot of land.

He has been rendering a taxi service to local people since 2008. This spring, he began building a new house on plot of land and due to a lack of financing, he can't complete building the house. So he is requesting a loan of 4,200,000 MNT to purchase building materials such as bricks, cement, planks, and metal.

Building his house will have many benefits, such as reduced coal burning for heating, a more spacious place to live, and will be environmentally friendly because a high quality house will preserve energy longer and burn less coal which results in less smoke and air pollutants.

The borrower is a very hardworking individual who strives for a better future.
