Gulayim's story

Gulayim is 40 years old, married and has four children (three sons and one daughter). In search of income for her family, Gulayim has been working with field crop cultivation and livestock breeding since 2005. She started the business with 3,000 som (KGS). Thanks to her hard work and large capacity, Gulayim was able to achieve some progress in developing the business and has reached a monthly income of the amount of 3,000 som (KGS).

Currently Gulayim has two dairy cows, two bulls and 18 sheep on her farm. She also has a small plot of land, where she grows tomatoes, cucumbers, onions, cabbage and potatoes - for own consumption and for selling.

Gualyim's husband works with road maintenance management, doing piecework. Two of the sons help with the farm. The eldest son lives in the capital of Kyrgyzstan. He works in a bank and helps the family financially, sending his monthly income to them.

With an aim to further develop her business, Gulayim turned to "Bai Tushum & Partners" for a loan in the amount of 50,000 som (KGS) for the purchase of a cow. Gulayim plans to invest the income from the loan in further developing her small business, and she also plans to open a small vegetable store in the future.
