Guljamal's story

Guljamal is 38 years old, married and has three children. Her oldest son is a college student, and the rest of the children are school students. Guljamal became involved in selling children's clothing in 1998, having started with a sum of 20,000 som (KGS). Guljamal was able to grow her business to have a monthly income of about 15,000 som (KGS). In order to expand her merchandise selection, especially for the upcoming school season, Guljamal requested a loan in the amount of 100,000 som (KGS) from the Microfinance bank "Bai-Tushum and Partners" to buy school children's clothing. She plans to invest the earnings from the business in further expanding merchandise selection and also wants to complete the construction of her house in the future.
