Sanavbar's story

Sanavbar is 39 year-old dressmaker who lives in Yavan. She is married, and has two daughters and one son. Her husband is a mirgrant worker in Russia. Sanavbar has her own dressmaking business. She works at home making custom ordered traditional Tajik womens' dresses. She always has lots of orders and despite not having enough time, she always tries to finish the job with quality work and on time. Sanavbar has been providing dressmaking services for six years and has her own set of repeat customers.

RIght now Sanavbar needs to expand her business. She is requesting a loan to buy a new sewing machine and an ironing and pressing machine, as well as fabric. She wants to use the profits from the loan to repair her house.
