A loan of $750 helped to purchase pigs and pig feed.

Ovidio Omar's story

Ovidio is 29 years old and lives with his wife and two children in the municipality of Victoria in Yoro, Honduras. He had always worked in agriculture, cultivating basic staples, until he decided 5 years ago to begin raising and butchering pigs. He also prepares the meat for sale. His wife owns a small shop and helps him sell the meat.

He requests a loan of 15,000 Lempiras to purchase pigs and food, such as concentrated pig feed. His plan is to continue growing. He will use this loan to make those purchases with cash, which will enable him to retain greater earnings and thereby help his children go to school.
