Angela Herlinda's story

Ángela is 34 years old. She is a single mother to two children who depend on her. For twenty years Ángela has had a business selling tortillas - she works seven days a week.

Ángela also sells sweets and uses her grinder to mill corn for her neighbours. Her customers are neighbours and friends who come to her house to buy tortillas. Ángela sells 700.00 Lempiras worth every day.

Ángela is very hard-working and is fighting to get ahead with her children and to give them a good upbringing. Ángela also has a professional daughter who supports her financially.

Ángela is applying for a loan in order to buy basic supplies to make her tortillas. She will buy items such as corn, firewood, lime and parts for her grinder. She will also buy a new, metal door for the front part of her house as the current door is in bad condition and, for security reasons, she would like to change it.

With the support of this loan, Ángela plans to increase her income a little. She dreams of continue to improve her house.
