Elias's story

Elías, 53, is married and has three children, who live with him in Nueva Frontera, Santa Bárbara. For six years, he has operated a grocery shop, where he sells household items such as grains, flour, margarine, eggs, milk products, sugar, soap, coffee, salt, beverages, and churros. Elías previously was a bricklayer and construction worker, but he decided he could open a store and have a fixed income.

He has applied to ODEF for a loan of 20,000 lempiras to stock his business with food products such basic grains, beverages, pasta, margarine, and more. He plans to have a strong business, to renovate his house, and to educate his children.
