A loan of $900 helped to buy rice, milk, flour, canned fish, and other products.

Norma's story

Norma, age 38, is a determined woman who lives in her own home with her husband Hector and their three children. She has a food store where she sells basic necessities, sweets, fruits, and other products to her neighbors. In addition to her business, Norma is a farmer who has three hectares of farmland that she is renting over a five-year period. She grows a variety of crops such as bananas, avocados, and coffee. Norma’s goals are to make progress and convert her store into the most highly-stocked business in her town.

This is her second Kiva loan and she is grateful for the financial support she has received. In addition, she promises to submit her loan payments in a punctual manner. Norma will invest her loan of 2,500 PEN in the purchase of food products for her store such as rice, milk, flour, canned fish, and other items.
