Mariam's story

Mariam and her husband (in the photo) are young farmers who are already highly skilled in animal breeding. Currently they keep 15 chickens, 14 sheep, and three cows, whose milk they use in the production of dairy products. Mariam, her husband and their 3-year-old daughter live in small village called Amasia, which is in Shirak region.

Mariam and her husband do their best to increase their income and provide better living conditions for their family. Now, this young and hardworking couple needs a loan for the organization of their farming activities. Specifically, the loan form Kiva will help them to renovate their old barn and purchase forage for feeding the livestock.

Mariam and her husband hope that Kiva lenders will help them to improve both their farm and their family income.
