A loan of $2,000 helped to pay for renovation of the barn and forage for feeding the livestock.

Razmik's story

Razmik, a father of three children (two of whom are in the photo), is from Basen village in the Shirak region. He has been involved in agriculture for many years, owning a farm which is his only source of income. Razmik breeds cattle (15 sheep, 3 cows and calves) and cultivates wheat. His wife makes dairy products which Razmik sells in the local market.

The farming business is crucial to Razmik's ability to earn income and sustain his children's living standards. Unfortunately the barn where Razmik keeps the livestock is very old and needs to be renovated, so he is requesting a loan for that purpose and to purchase forage for feeding the livestock.

Razmik will be very grateful to Kiva lenders, as the loan will give him an opportunity to continue running his farm and making his family's life better.
