Shakeela's story

Shakeela is a 38-year-old hardworking woman. She lives in Lahore, Pakistan with her husband, two sons and three daughters. All of her children are studying in school. Her husband owns an embroidery shop in the main market which is the only source of income for their family. His monthly net income is insufficient to meet the family needs. Presently, he needs additional capital to purchase a variety of embroidery material for the shop, including thread, embroidered lace, needles and colourful buttons.

For that his wife Shakeela has requested a loan from Kiva's partner BRAC Pakistan to help her husband. She dreams of higher education for her children. And she is very much thankful to Kiva for such great help and kindness.
