Sumaria's Group's story

Sumaria is a 35-year-old hardworking woman living in Rawalpindi, Pakistan, with her husband and one son. Her son is currently studying in primary school. Sumaria’s husband does construction work but his income is not enough to meet the household expenses.

Sumaria is a very hardworking and responsible woman. By stitching clothes, she helps her husband meet the family's needs and her son's educational expenses. She has been operating her business very efficiently and honestly for the past 8 years, and her clients always appreciate her work.

As a member of a two-person lending group, she has requested a loan from Kiva’s partner, BRAC Pakistan. With the loan amount, she will be purchasing a new sewing machine so that she can work more efficiently in the future.
