A loan of $1,125 helped a member to buy more items to increase her inventory.

Lilian's Group's story

Lilian has owned a shop in Arusha since 2005. She is 47 years old, married, and has four children, ages 18, 24, 27, and 37. She also cares for one 23-year-old dependent. She works at her shop daily from 8:00am to 8:00pm and generates a profit of approximately $200 each month.

Lilian has taken out two previous loans from BRAC Tanzania. She paid them both back successfully and on time. With this loan, she hopes to buy more materials to help her expand her business. She will be sharing this loan with her two group members, Frida and Grace. Frida owns a salon in Arusha, and Grace owns a butcher shop.
