Sonia is from the Candela neighborhood in Coah. Sonia, age 46, has lived in the Piedras Negras neighborhood for 30 years, and she still lives there. She has two children.

She gets up early every morning in order to go to work at the company where she has been working for three years. She restructures loans for people living in government subsidized housing and have stopped paying. She does this so that that instead of losing their houses they are able to take them back. In this way she helps a lot of people. The people who know her say that she is very kind, and that she always does everything possible to help people equally.

She is asking for support through Kiva in order to be able to expand her house. It is now small, and as her children are growing, she would like each one to have their own bedroom and for each one to have their own space. Then they will feel comfortable in their home.
