A loan of $2,050 helped to buy spare parts for cars.


Nuriya's story

Nuriya is 42 years old, married, and has three children. Since 2007 she has been in the auto parts business. She started her business with 300,000 som (KGS) and she has been able to develop her business to the point where it has a monthly income of about 15,000 som (KGS). Her husband helps her with the business and it's all up and running smoothly. Nuriya also has two milk cows, one calf, and 20 sheep, as well as a 1.2 hectare plot of land where she grows clover. In order to expand the assortment of auto parts she offers, Nuriya applied to the microfinance bank Bai Tushum & Partners for a loan of 100,000 som (KGS). Nuriya plans to use a part of the income from the loan in further expanding her product line and, in the future, to give her children a good education.
